The World's Most Used Potassium Fertilizer
MOP / Potassium Chloride 0-0-60
Muriate of Potash (MOP), also known as Potassium Chloride (0-0-60), is the most widely used potassium fertilizer globally. It contains 60% potassium (K₂O) and is an economical source of this essential macronutrient.
Potassium plays a critical role in crop quality, disease resistance, water regulation, and the activation of enzymes involved in photosynthesis and protein synthesis. Adequate potassium nutrition improves drought tolerance and post-harvest quality.
MOP is suitable for most crops and soil types, though it should be used with caution on chloride-sensitive crops such as tobacco, potatoes, and some fruits. It is commonly applied as a basal dressing or blended into compound fertilizers.
