Nitrogen & Sulphur for Alkaline Soils
Ammonium Sulphate 21-0-0
Ammonium Sulphate (21-0-0) is a widely used nitrogen fertilizer that also supplies sulphur — an essential secondary nutrient often deficient in South African soils. It contains 21% nitrogen in the ammonium form and approximately 24% sulphur.
Because it has an acidifying effect on the soil, it is particularly well-suited to alkaline and calcareous soils. It is commonly used on crops such as maize, wheat, sugarcane, and vegetables where both nitrogen and sulphur are required.
Ammonium Sulphate is available in granular or crystalline form and can be applied by broadcasting, banding, or through fertigation systems.
